PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in the case of an outdoor temperature being extremely high in a subtropical area or the like wherein even if a refrigerant flows normally, sufficient condensing ability cannot be obtained, and in consequence, the difference between an indoor temperature on the low pressure side and the temperature of an indoor heat exchanger is reduced to cause erroneous detection of blocking of a refrigerating cycle and to stop a compressor. SOLUTION: The determination time of determining the presence of blocking of the refrigerating cycle is made different according to the time when an indoor suction temperature or a compressor discharge temperature is lower than a predetermined temperature and the time when it is the predetermined temperature or higher. Consequently, even when the indoor and outdoor temperatures are high and special control for the subtropical area by a local setting mode is used, blocking of the refrigerating cycle can be determined, and the compressor can be stopped and protected.
