PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measure of absorbing vibrations in vertical, front and rear, and left and right directions in operating handles of various work machines including a compaction machine, to which combined vibrations in vertical, front and rear, and left and right directions are transmitted. SOLUTION: According to the structure of the operating handle, a lower end of each of handle rods 2 is connected to a side surface of the work machine via elastic bodies 4a, 4b, and a lower end of each of connection legs 12 of the U-shaped auxiliary handle 10 is protruded to an upper end of each handle rod 2 in a manner rotatable via a joint fitting 13 having elastic bodies 14a, 14b, in a direction at right angles to a lengthwise direction of the handle rod 2.
