PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester multifilament for yarn separation, excellent in hue, capable of being produced industrially, having a very small amount of spinneret foreign materials even on performing the melt spinning continuously for a long time through the spinneret, and capable of performing stable yarn separation-processing. SOLUTION: This polyester multifilament for yarn separation, having 0-10 wt.ppm content of a metal element having≥5.0 specific gravity and satisfies the following (1) to (2) requirements.
