PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire having a block pattern at a high level capable of compatibly demonstrating the starting and braking performance on a snowy road surface and the steering stability on a dry road surface. SOLUTION: In the pneumatic tire, a large number of block land parts 4a, 4b are demarcated by arranging a plurality of main grooves 2, 3 across each other on a tread part 1, and a plurality of small grooves 5a, 5b are arranged in the block land parts 4a, 4b. The width wa of the small grooves 5a arranged in the block land parts 4a located in an center area 6 in the tire width direction is set to be larger than the width wb of the small grooves 5b arranged in the block land parts 4b located on both side areas 7 in the tire width direction. The small grooves 5a arranged in the block land parts 4a are three-dimensional ones in which both the extending shape in a tread and the width sectional shape of the small grooves are zigzag.
