PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer for forming an image on a recording medium by imparting ink in which reverse warp is eliminated even if the forward end of a roll sheet subjected to over drying or uneven drying is printed or thermally dried when fixing of ink on the recording medium is accelerated by heating the recording medium. SOLUTION: The printer comprises feeding means and transfer means of a roll sheet as a recording medium, a means for printing on the roll sheet transferred to a recording position, a means for heating the roll sheet, and a means for cutting the roll sheet wherein an ink imparting pattern different from an actual image is given by the print means in a region of predetermined length from the forward end of the roll sheet which can become the head page.
