PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stud which is allowed to correctly and easily check the joint strength of a weld. SOLUTION: The stud comprises a stud weld body 11, a torque applying piece 12, and a connection part 13 which has a section smaller than that of these components and integrally connects the stud weld body 11 to the torque applying piece 12. The connection part 13 is formed to have the strength so that the connection part is broken by applying the torque of the predetermined value to the torque applying piece 12 by a torque applying tool 3 after the welding in the stud weld body 11 is completed.
