Continuous hydroformylation process for forming an aldehyde comprises: (A) reacting an olefinically unsaturated compound, carbon monoxide, hydrogen and a rhodium-biphosphite ligand complex catalyst, to form a reaction mixture; (B) isolating the aldehyde product; and (C) recycling the catalyst. Continuous hydroformylation process for forming an aldehyde comprises: (A) reacting an olefinically unsaturated compound containing 6-30 C atoms, carbon monoxide, hydrogen and a rhodium-biphosphite ligand complex catalyst, to form a reaction mixture; (B) isolating the aldehyde product by evaporating at least a portion of the reaction mixture using a vacuum evaporator; and (C) recycling the catalyst.
