An image projection apparatus 10 comprises a projector 12, a transmissive projection panel 16 , and an at least partially transparent screen 18 wherein the transmissive projection panel projects light projected from the projector, and the light is directed onto the at least partially transparent screen; the at least partially transparent screen being a surface arranged such that light from the at least partially transparent screen is reflected therefrom and creates a virtual image from the light reflected off the at least partially transparent screen so that the virtual image appears to be located behind the screen producing a 'Pepper's ghost' effect. |
