To achieve optimal power control of a system in a MIMO communication method, when decoding a MIMO communication signal in plural receivers (2-1, 2-2, ...), each receiver acquires (23) the received power level of a received signal from a transmitter (1-1, 1-2, ...) paired with the receiver, and generates a transmitter power control signal based on the result of comparing the received power with a predetermined value. For example, if the received power level is lower than the predetermined value, a transmitter power control signal instructing an increase in the transmitter power is generated, and otherwise, a transmitter power control signal instructing a decrease in the transmitter power is generated. The generated control signal is transmitted (24) from the receiver to the transmitter paired with the receiver. Each transmitter controls (14) the transmitter power in accordance with the received control signal. |
