<p>The method involves measuring temporal flow of pressure produced by a multi-piston pump comprising pistons, using discrete pressure magnitudes which are detected by a pressure detecting unit. A defect of the pump is detected based on a frequency analysis of the temporal pressure flows. The frequency analysis is carried out by a fast-Fourier transformation, where a mean value of the pressure flows is used for the frequency analysis. An independent claim is also included for a device for monitoring a multi-piston pump.</p> |
