PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the clamping pressure of a distance bracket of column side with respect to a stationary bracket of vehicle side, when fixing the steering column so that it will not tilt. SOLUTION: For fixing a steering column 2 so that it will not tilt, a friction plate 20 pressed against a side surface of a distance bracket 3 on which a stationary bracket 1 is not abutted is provided, and when fixing the steering column 2, the distance bracket 3 is pressed against the stationary bracket 1 at its one side surface and pressed against the friction plate 20 at its other side surface. Accordingly, the distance bracket 3 is pressed at its both side surfaces when fixing the steering column 2. |
