摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately drive even a photographing lens having relation between focusing driving amount and image surface moving amount which becomes non-linear depending on a photographing distance to a focusing point. SOLUTION: This camera is provided with an encoder 18 detecting the photographing position of the photographing lens, a focus detection means 7 processing output from a charge storage type photodetector in terms of data and repeatedly detecting the defocusing amount of the position of the photographing lens at the time of receiving light even while the photographing lens is being focused, and a focus divergence amount correction means 2 correcting the focus divergence amount of the photographing lens based on the defocusing amount repeatedly detected by the detection means 7, the photographing position detected by the encoder and conversion coefficient data peculiar to the photographing lens with reference to the photographing position. The correction means 2 drives the photographing lens by correcting the defocusing amount and obtaining the focus divergence amount of the photographing lens based on the conversion coefficient data of the charge storage type photodetector at the time of storing operation.
