Lens for laser-ignited combustion engine

The lens has a spherical basic shape (2) and an aspherical region (3), where lens projects over an underside of a hollow cylinder head and a sleeve. The aspherical region is formed rotationally symmetrically in relation to an imaginary axis running through a center of the shape. The aspherical region has a portion, where each point on a surface of the portion has a preset distance from the center of the basic shape. An independent claim is also included for a method for production of a lens.
