The sticker (1) has one major side including an area (2) containing indicia describing information (3) in a part (5) of the sticker to be displayed in a mode of use. Another major side has an area (14) located opposite to an area (8) on the former major side, in a part (7) of the sticker. The area in the latter major side has a section to receive one information that is related to all or part of the information (3). The area (14) does not contain information to be displayed and protected in the mode of use. An independent claim is also included for a method of operating a document security system.
