FIELD: banding machines. ^ SUBSTANCE: method of preliminary tightening of strapping tape comes to delivery of tape from guide to contour of object to be strapped with taking up excess of tape. Two simultaneous impacts are periodically applied to sections of strapping tape to be tightened up applying equal forces to opposite edges of tape in direction opposite to each other from tape edges relative to its longitudinal axis. Frame guide for strapping tape includes base with movable paired L-section holders. Each movable paired holder for tape on straight-line or circular section of guide is mechanically coupled with both neighbor paired holders by elongating and bending of front part of each holder at acute angle to plane of base and elongating rear part of each holder so that front projection of bend of following holder on plane of guide base superimpose on front projection of rear end face of preceding holder, and inlet and outlet bevels are made on flanges of holders. ^ EFFECT: improved quality of banding owing to periodical correction of deflection of strapping tape from plane of guide. ^ 4 cl, 6 dwg |
