The tube has an enclosure including an anode rotating on a shaft (7). A support is presented under the form of a detachable bearing including a maintenance chamber (12) and ceramic ball bearings (26, 28), where the shaft is maintained in the chamber. The chamber is filled with gallium, indium and tin based alloy and equips a groove (18) and a space (19) for preventing alloy leakage out of the chamber. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting a rotating anode in an X-ray tube.
