The device (1) has an electric motor (2) and a locking unit (3) of storey shape, provided as an armature shaft directly integrated on an armature (4) of the motor. The unit has an outer thread (15) engaged with an inner thread (14) arranged in an auxiliary piston (12) of an automatic parking brake, for transforming a rotation movement of the unit into an axial movement of the unit in an axial direction (XX). An independent claim is also included for an automatic parking brake comprising a locking device.
