The arrangement has an oil pump with pumping pinions (10, 12) positioned partially in a housing hollowed around an opening of a crankcase (2), along the direction of an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle, and in the crankcase and a bearing cap (6) fixed under the crankcase. A cover is assembled on the circumference of the bearing cap and of a zone (4) of the crankcase.
