The wiper (1) has a wiper blade in longitudinal axis, where the blade has a lug (3) whose lower side has a lip (2) that contacts a surface to be wiped. The blade has a connecting unit (5) connecting the blade with a support arm, where the unit (5) is connected to a vertebrate (4) of less stiffness. A compression spring (6) arranged in the lug exerts a longitudinal directional force towards ends of the blade. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle equipped of a windshield wiper.
