PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and imaging system in which a focused state for an object can be efficiently confirmed. SOLUTION: An imaging device 2 images an optical image of an object and converts the image into an electrical image signal. An AF control unit 9 sets a plurality of range finder areas to the image signal obtained by the imaging device 2 and detects a focused position for each of the set plurality of range finder areas. A display control unit 13 controls a photographed image based on the image signal and generates a display image to be displayed and output it. The display image includes a plurality of photographed images based on the same image signal, and at least one of the plurality of photographed images includes a partial image which is obtained by magnifying a part of the photographed images based on the image signal and which has one or more range finder areas set by the AF control unit 9.
