PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection quantity control device for an internal combustion engine capable of stabilizing an air-fuel ratio even in transient operation such as a sudden change of throttle valve opening. SOLUTION: This fuel injection quantity control device is applied to the internal combustion engine provided with a dual injection system equipped with two fuel injection valves which are a cylinder injection valve 39C and a port injection valve 39P for every cylinder. The device determines a port injection quantity fip based on a predicted intake air quantity KLfwd obtained from a predicted throttle valve opening in the closed state of an intake valve, at a point of time before the intake valve is closed, and carries out port injection of fuel in the port injection quantity fip. The device accurately computes an actual required total fuel quantity Fcact based on an actual intake air quantity KLact obtained from an actual throttle valve opening in the closed state of the intake valve, immediately after the intake valve is closed, and carries out cylinder injection, setting the shortage portion of an actual cylinder inflow fuel quantity Fcest which actually flowed into the cylinder by port injection to the actual required total fuel quantity Fcact, as a cylinder injection quantity fic.
