摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a means capable of suppressing differences of filling efficiency (air fuel ratio) of intake air between cylinders capable of extending a valve overlap period. SOLUTION: In an internal combustion engine 1 which has two banks and in which each cylinder #1 to #8 on the same bank is combusted at irregular intervals, flow passage on-off valves 8<SB>#4</SB>, 8<SB>#5</SB>, 8<SB>#7</SB>, 8<SB>#8</SB>capable of opening/closing flow passages of intake passages 2<SB>#4</SB>, 2<SB>#5</SB>, 2<SB>#7</SB>, 2<SB>#8</SB>are provided on the intake passages 2<SB>#4</SB>, 2<SB>#5</SB>, 2<SB>#7</SB>, 2<SB>#8</SB>of the blowdown gas generation cylinders #4, #5, #7, #8 of which internal EGR amount is reduced. The internal combustion engine 1 is provided with a control means 9 for performing opening/closing control of the flow passage on-off valves 8<SB>#4</SB>, 8<SB>#5</SB>, 8<SB>#7</SB>, 8<SB>#8</SB>so as to reduce differences of volumetric efficiency between the blowdown gas generation cylinders #4, #5, #7, #8 and blowdown gas inflow cylinders #6, #3, #1, #2 of which internal EGR amount is increased effected by the blowdown gas or so as to uniformize the differences of volumetric efficiency between the cylinders.
