PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning liquid and a method for cleaning that can make clean e.g. a ceiling or a wall inside of a smoking room without wiping off the liquid. SOLUTION: The cleaning liquid comprises a water solution containing hydrogen peroxide, an alkali metal bicarbonate as essential components, and also an alkali metal carbonate as an optional component. The hydrogen peroxide content is 3-15 wt%, and total carbonate concentration as the sum of the bicarbonate and carbonate is within a range of 40-200 mmol/L, and the concentration of the carbonate is not more than 30 mol% of the total carbonate concentration. It is desirable that the cleaning liquid contains a copper ion and the content is within a range of 20-100μmol/L. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
