A wireless communication device for forming a frame with a plurality of slots thereby to communicate while carrying a guard interval together with data addressed to mobile stations, on the individual slots. A reception state acquisition unit acquires the reception states of the individual mobile stations. On the basis of the reception states of the individual mobile stations, a frame format decision unit decides a frame format, in which guard interval lengths are different for the individual slots. A slot assignment unit assigns the individual slots of the frame format to the data to be addressed to the individual mobile stations. A frame format notification unit notifies the frame format decided to the individual mobile stations via a notification channel. The mobile station discriminates a GI length on the basis of the frame format notified, to eliminate the guard interval for the processing.
