<p>An endoscope assembly has a disposable sheath. The sheath comprises a coat (8) covering outside the endoscope body, a disposable pipe (3) inserted into the conduit of the endoscope, a water and gas pipe (4), a nozzle pipe (5) and a locking ring (9) on the back end of the coat. An end cap (2) provided on the front end of the coat connects integrally with the coat (8), the disposable pipe (3), the water and gas pipes (4) and the nozzle pipe (5), so the outside surface of the endoscope and the inside surface of the conduit of the endoscope can be protected. The water and gas pipe (4) and a suction pipe (17) are attached respectively to a water and gas outlet (7) and a suction pipe adapter (16) provide on back end of the endoscope body by their own fittings. The water and gas pipe (4) may be a single-cavity pipe or a double-cavity pipe, and which is provided outside the endoscope body and parallel with the body. The disposable pipe (3) is reeved through the conduit of the endoscope, and then is placed in a three-way sealing cap (12) through a guide conduit. After use, the disposable pipe is heat-sealed and cut by a heat-sealing clamp before it is drawed out from the conduit of the endoscope body, and the orifice of the disposable pipe has a sealed V shape. The endoscope assembly may prevent cross infection caused by endoscope examination.</p> |
