A hair tonic composition which consists of an ethanol or aqueous ethanol preparation containing as the active ingredients (A) at least one compound selected from among fatty acids having odd-numbered carbon chain lengths, derivatives thereof, aliphatic alcohols having odd-numbered carbon chain lengths, and derivative thereof and (B) at least one compound selected from among 6-benzylaminopurine and derivatives thereof, characterized by further containing (C) at least one polyglycerol fatty acid ester and (D) at least one sorbitan fatty acid ester.
