PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a fuel cell system to release a lock in impeller freezing with less amount of heat.
SOLUTION: A hydrogen circulation pump 21 comprises a pump 51 having an impeller 69, rotation of which transfers hydrogen from a hydrogen tank and exhausted hydrogen from a fuel cell; and a motor 49 having a rotor 59 for rotating the impeller 69 and a stator 55. The impeller 69 and the motor 49 are housed in the same casing 53. When water content in a hydrogen gas freezes and turns to an ice 70, an electric current is fed through the stator 55 to generate heat and to melt the ice 70.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
