<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode material for lithium secondary battery consisting of a lithium-contained compound oxide superior in thermal safety, volume capacity density, and charge and discharge cycle characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: This is a positive electrode material for lithium secondary battery made of a lithium-contained compound oxide including a mixture of a lithium-contained compound oxide having a layered rock salt structure and a lithium-contained compound oxide having a pseudo-spinel structure. The above lithium-contained compound oxide is expressed in a general formula Li<SB>p</SB>Co<SB>x</SB>M<SB>y</SB>O<SB>z</SB>F<SB>a</SB>(provided that, M expresses at least one kind chosen from a group made of transition metal elements other than Co, Al, Sn, and alkaline earth metal elements. 0.9≤p≤1.1, 0.97≤x≤1.00, 0≤y≤0.03, 1.9≤z≤2.1, x+y=1, 0≤a≤0.02). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
