PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle wireless receiver capable of receiving data by switching a plurality of channels and controlling a search timing of a reception level of each channel. SOLUTION: The on-vehicle wireless receiver includes: a search control function for allowing a wireless circuit to sequentially search reception levels of the plurality of channels; and a data reception control function for allowing the wireless circuit to wirelessly receive data over one of the plurality of channels on the basis of the reception level of each channel resulting from the searching, and increases a frequency of operation of the search control function as the drive speed of its own vehicle increases, and decreases the frequency of operation of the search control function as the drive speed of its own vehicle decreases.
