PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of improving the efficiency of a phosphorescent organic light-emitting element and simplifying a manufacturing process. SOLUTION: The phosphorescent organic light-emitting element includes: a homogeneous structure made of a host material including at least one phosphorescent guest material; an electron source adapted for providing electrons to the homogeneous structure; and a positive hole source adapted for providing positive holes to the homogeneous structure and combining at least a portion of the positive holes and electrons with the homogeneous structure to create photons through an excitation process. The element is characterized in that the homogeneous structure is employed to decrease the possibility of the excitation process to be caused outside the homogeneous structure.
