PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a device as a whole by defining clearances for generating torque by fluid shearing resistance between a movable rotor and a case, and a fixed rotor and the case. SOLUTION: This rotary damper device comprises the case 15 forming a crust for sealing viscous fluid and having an inner peripheral face having a circular cross-section, a shaft 29 rotatably supported on the case 15 and penetrated through the inside and outside of the case 15, the movable rotor 31 rotatably mounted in the case 15, and comprising movable resisting peripheral walls 77, 79 concentric with an inner periphery of the case 15, and the fixed rotor 33 mounted in the case 15, formed independently from the case 15, and comprising fixed resisting peripheral walls 87, 89 fitted to inner peripheral sides of the movable resisting peripheral walls 77, 79 of the movable rotor 31. The clearances 81, 91 for generating the torque by fluid shearing resistance are respectively formed between the movable rotor 31 and the case 15, and the fixed rotor 33 and the case 15, and at least the clearance 81 between the movable rotor 31 and the case 15 is changed by difference in thermal expansion corresponding to temperature environment to automatically adjust the torque.
