PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a transmitting device resume sending out of an authentication code by predetermined instructions after the power-down mode is canceled even when using the transmitting device which stops sending out of the authorization code by a a power-down mode of a reception device. SOLUTION: The transmitting device 10 transmits the authentication code encrypted via I2C bus 2 to a receiver device 20 based on the transmitting device 10 being connected to the receiving device 20 by a hot plug line 3, the receiving device 20 determines this authentication code, and returns the determination result to the transmitting device 10 via the I2C bus 2. Thereby, the authentication operation is performed between the transmitting device 10 and the receiving device 20. The receiving device has an authentication restart means of disconnecting the hot plug line 3 in false, and for connecting it again by receiving the instruction from the outside.
