PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an optical fiber cable resistant to kinking, and to improve flame retardancy thereof. SOLUTION: The optical fiber cable 1 consists of a non-circular form multi-core optical fiber cord 3 which holds two or more optical fibers 11 and of which the cross section almost perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the optical fibers 11 is not circular, and a braid 5 consisting of metal wires prepared in the periphery of this multi-core optical fiber cord 3.
