PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color wheel apparatus in which the weight of a balancer is reduced and the efficiency of mounting work of a balancer is secured. SOLUTION: The balancer 25 is mounted on a position nearer to the color wheel 3 from the center-of-gravity position of a supporting body 11 which is the vicinity of the color wheel 3 on the outer peripheral part of the supporting body 11 fixed on the color wheel 3. Since the adhesion/fixing of the balancer 25 is not interrupted by a motor supporting body 35 or the like, the efficiency of mounting work of the balancer 25 can be secured, and since a distance between the balancer 25 and the color wheel 3 is shortened, the weight of the balancer 25 can be reduced.
