PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock-absorbing member which is formed of plates having shock-absorbing property such as a corrugated fiberboard, easy in assembly by a simple structure, not limited in applicable shape or structure, and excellent in shock-absorbing function. SOLUTION: A cutout 10c reaching a back side of a plate from its face side is formed in a retaining part 1 which is abutted on a member 4 to retain a product and retains the product of a shock-absorbing member B constituted by assembling the plates having the shock-absorbing property.
