PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for preventing cotton from blowing in a compression bailing machine capable of preventing crimped stable fibers from blowing out from a gap between a preparatory compression box and a packing box on the side of preparatory compression when compression-bailing the crimped stable fibers to improve productivity by the reduction of waste cotton. SOLUTION: The compression bailing machine for compression-bailing the crimped stable fibers has the preparatory compression box 6 below a weighing hopper 1 and is equipped with a plurality of packing boxes 4 and 8 below the box 6 to be rotatable between the preparatory compression side and the main compression side. An air sealer is provided on the bailing machine for preventing the staple fibers from blowing out from the gap between the preparatory compression box 6 and the packing box 4 on the side of the preparatory compression, thereby providing the device 9 for preventing cotton from blowing in the compression bailing machine.
