PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cushioning member for use in packaging, which improves technology of using an integrated laminate of a plastic cellular sheet composed of a cap film with numerous protrusions formed of a plastic film and a flat plastic film stuck to the bottom of a cap as the cushioning member for packaging to solve the problems associated with adhesion and fusion of a conventional integrated means, does not degrade workability in cutting after use, and has no fear of damaging a packaged article. SOLUTION: A plurality of plastic cellular sheets (2) are laminated until a required thickness is obtained, and the obtained laminate is integrally sewn with a thread (3) to provide the cushioning member (1A) for use in packaging. Various kinds of modified shapes are available. For example, the laminate of the plastic cellular sheets is partitioned into several blocks and sewn to make an each integrated block, whereby each block can be kept integrated and serve as a cushioning member when the laminate is cut along the partitions.
