The pipe laying device (10) has a connecting component (18) in the form of a screw plate for the connection to an excavator change system and which is rigidly connected to, or in one piece with, a cantilever frame (12) which at one end carries at least one support pole (20) for inserting into the pipe to be laid. At least one thrust cylinder (24) is rigidly connected to the cantilever frame and/or support pole and is supported on a thrust beam (32) acting on the end of the pipe.
