<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily check residual quantity of a battery of a light emission type display device such as a monitor of liquid crystal or organic EL. <P>SOLUTION: A residual quantity measurement part 62 measures the residual quantity of a battery 60. A CPU 22 executes a display control program and determines a display area of an LCD 16 so that the display area becomes smaller as the residual quantity of the battery 60 becomes smaller.
