<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device in which occurrence of unevenness in properties of toner particles in a toner transport chamber is suppressed, a method for manufacturing the developing device, and an image forming apparatus equipped with the developing device. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device comprises: a toner particle bearing member which bears toner particles and transports these to a developing region facing an image bearing member; a toner transport chamber previously holding a predetermined amount or more of toner particles which are transported under stirring toward the toner particle bearing member; and a toner housing chamber integrated with the toner transport chamber, wherein the toner housing chamber previously houses toner particles having a larger average particle diameter than the toner particles previously held in the toner transport chamber, which are supplied to the toner transport chamber when the amount of the toner particles in the toner transport chamber becomes less than the predetermined amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
