<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized space-saved MFP for discharging recording paper on an original press plate that carries out operation control to keep the highest recording image quality. <P>SOLUTION: The image reading and recording apparatus is configured to include: an original platen; an original read means; an image storage means; a sheet support means for supporting a sheet to form an image; a recording means for forming an image on the sheet supported by the sheet support means; a cover member provided with the one side which is used for a revolving shaft so as to be capable of opening the original platen and for pressing an original placed on the original platen toward the original platen; a sheet ejection means for ejecting the sheet with the image formed thereon upwardly to the cover member; and a sheet placing section for placing the sheet ejected from the sheet ejection means to the side opposite to the original pressing side of the cover member, and the cover member includes an opening / closing sensor. When the sensor senses the opening state of the cover member, the image reading and recording apparatus shifts to a memory copy mode and starts the ejection operation after sensing the closing state of the cover member after the end of the reading of the original. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
