<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out speedy recording/reproducing operation of information in a desired format area by arraying areas compliant with an optical disk format of a comparatively small capacity in a large capacity optical disk. <P>SOLUTION: The optical disk is provided with a plurality of recording areas distributed physically in a concentric circular state, a lead in area and a lead out area preliminarily prepared at prescribed positions in the respective recording areas, and a system lead in area where information for managing the whole disk is recorded on the inner peripheral side or outer peripheral side of the plurality of recording areas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
