<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print control apparatus and a print control method making it possible to determine whether K single-color printing or CMYK four-color printing is to be carried out for a group of data registered in a printer and to provide a storage medium for storing a computer readable program. <P>SOLUTION: In a network printer environment where a printer is used in the presence of a data processor and a plurality of other printers with the intervention of a predetermined communication medium, when a group of particular registered data including registered font data, form data and macro data registered in the printer is stored in the printer, information on a determination as to whether K single-color printing or CMYK four-color printing is to be carried out for the group of registered data is retained, whereby when a host computer directs printing using the group of data registered in the printer, a determination can be made over the host computer as to whether K single-color printing or CMYK four-color printing is to be carried out for the group of registered data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
