<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic projector which allows a stereoscopic image to be observed with one projector by providing a polarizing beam splitter between two DPL display parts using DMDs (digital mirror devices). <P>SOLUTION: The stereoscopic projector employing aggregate elements of micromirrors for reflecting incident light comprises; a first display part including a first light source lamp, a first aggregate element of micromirrors, a first color filter, and a first polarizer having an axis of polarization in a prescribed direction; a second display part including a second light source lamp, a second aggregate element of micromirrors, a second color filter, and a second polarizer having an axis of polarization in a direction different from the prescribed direction; the polarizing beam splitter; and a projection lens.
