<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of manufacturing an automatic closing and opening device for a vehicle by facilitating control of dimensional accuracy and assembling accuracy of an arm member and a guide member. <P>SOLUTION: The tip of a drive rod 41 driven by an electric motor is guided to an arc-shaped channel of movement which is about the axis of rotation of a hinge by the inner guide surface 52b and the outer guide surface 53b of a bracket 51 fixed to the vehicle. On the other hand, an arm member 42 fixed to a back door is formed in the form of an arc corresponding with the channel of movement of the tip of the drive rod 41. Then a slot 63, which is extended along the direction perpendicular to each of the guide surfaces 52b, 53b, is formed at the tip of the arm member 42. A connecting pin 45 attached to the tip of the drive rod 41 is inserted to the slot 63. Because of this, a displacement absorbing part 62 is provided between the arm member 42 and the drive rod 41. The displacement absorbing part absorbs a displacement from the tip of the drive rod 41 in the direction perpendicular to the guide surfaces 52b, 53b of the arm member 42. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
