<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator apparatus, surely preventing a car from elevating beyond the terminal floor. <P>SOLUTION: A driving device has a driving sheave where a main rope is wrapped, a motor part for rotating the driving sheave, and a braking part for braking the rotation of the driving sheave. A car is elevated by the driving force of the driving device. The operation of the driving device is controlled by a control device. When lowering of braking force of the braking part due to aged deterioration of a brake lining is detected by a braking force lowering detecting means, the control device controls the driving device in an early deceleration mode of decelerating elevation of the car more earlier than a normal mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
