<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for cleaning exhaust gas, which is fit flexibly to each of various draft chambers from the outside to make the draft chamber compact as a whole. <P>SOLUTION: A casing 11 comprises a connectable introduction duct 13 for introducing exhaust gas G<SB>1</SB>and a connectable discharge duct 15 for freely discharging the cleaned gas G<SB>2</SB>obtained by cleaning the exhaust gas G<SB>1</SB>to the outside. An internal duct 17 communicated with the connectable introduction duct 13 is formed in the casing 11. A filter part 20 through which the exhaust gas G<SB>1</SB>is made to pass while receiving a cleaning liquid chemical L sprayed from a liquid chemical spraying part 19 and a mist separator part 21 for subjecting the liquid chemical-sprayed exhaust gas G<SB>1</SB>to gas-liquid separation so that the obtained cleaned gas G<SB>2</SB>can be discharged freely to the connectable discharge duct 15 are arranged on the internal duct 17 in this order from the upstream side.
