WIRELESS VIDEO IMAGE TRANSMISSION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless video image transmission apparatus for minimizing disturbance of a video image reproduced at a receiving side even when a communication state is deteriorated.

SOLUTION: The wireless video image transmission apparatus includes: a video type identification means 118 for discriminating a type of video frames to be transmitted; an error detection means 120 for detecting the occurrence of a transmission error in the case of transmission of the video frame; a number of retrials storage means 110 for measuring the number of consecutive occurrence times of transmission errors by each frame type; and a number of retrial setting means 105 for storing a maximum number of retransmission times by each frame type, and sets the maximum retransmission times of intra-frames greater than that of the other frames, retransmits the video frames until the number of consecutive occurrence times of transmission errors reaches the maximum number of retransmission times and aborts the video frames when the number of consecutive occurrence times of transmission errors exceeds the maximum number of retransmission times. Further, the wireless video image transmission apparatus prioritizes the transmission order of the intra-frames and carries out preferential transmission of the intra-frames for a band guarantee period.
