PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device which can fixedly retain an inkjet cartridge stably without impairing positional precision only by fitting the cartridge into a carriage, and is free from an erroneous fitting by the user. SOLUTION: The cartridge fixing device comprises a detachable cartridge, a retaining means which retains the cartridge, and an engagement means which is secured to the retaining means in a rocking manner and has two arms extending in a different direction respectively from a rocking center. One arm of the engagement means has an engagement part formed to be detachably engaged with the cartridge, and the other arm is formed so that it can be pressed into contact with a different surface from a part with which the cartridge is engaged.
