PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a hook member of a hook-and-loop fastener of high quality and high manufacturing yield. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the hook member of the hook-and-loop fastener comprises a rotatable die wheel 60 and a large number of hook forming cavities 61 arranged at the circumferential surface, wherein an injection molding device 80 and a cooling device 90 are located on the opposite sides of the die wheel. An injection device injects a molding material 70 such as fused plastic through a pair of upper and lower nozzle parts 81, 82 located near the circumferential surface of the die wheel, and moved to be longitudinally adjustable to determine the thickness of a base part of the formed hook member. The molding material ejected from the injection device is accurately brought into contact with the circumferential surface of the die wheel and the hook forming cavities. The molding material can thereby be directly and completely injected into the hook forming cavities to maintain the sufficient melting temperature of the injection molding material, thereby providing a smooth, stable manufacturing method and the hook member of high quality.
